I have decided, as promised, to bring back Marmite Tots for the autumn. It’s completely free to take part and very entertaining. Each session takes approximately half an hour so won’t mess up your day. The first two sessions will be on Sunday 8th November from 9.30am till 12.30pm and Sunday 15th November from 9.30am till 4pm. If you would like to volunteer or know someone who would please email me at email@example.com to book your slot. Little ones ideally need to be able to sit unaided but not yet walking and obviously never had Marmite before! Here’s a couple of my favourites from the last Marmite Tots session earlier in the year. Comment, share & enjoy!
Great news! My studio has received two merit awards at the Annual Master Photographers Association national awards Cherubs section. This picture of Henry and second picture of Jaxon will now advance into the competition finals. I’m fairly new to the association so I am really pleased! Many thanks to my wonderful Cherubs / Watch Me Grow clients xx
We’ve also got 3 other images through to the finals awarded Merits, two in the Pets section and one in the Monochrome section. I shall be attending the Awards Dinner in October so fingers crossed for the finals!
Having known Richard since he was a little lad and, more recently, the lovely Tasha, it was a privilege and a joy to be photographing their wedding day on Saturday at Lenwade House Hotel. The weather was absolutely perfect as they had planned an outdoor ceremony and an outdoor ceremony they had. All was calm during the morning and when the groom arrived, he was equally cool, calm and collected. A stunning ceremony ensued, followed by a wonderful reception and relaxing afternoon. The evening came along and the music started along with the cutting of the cake and Richard and Tasha’s first dance. Last but by no means least – fireworks to make the celebration complete!
It was an absolutely perfect day and I thoroughly enjoyed collecting your memories from the day. As promised, here’s a sneak peek for you and your friends and family. My heartfelt congratulations to you both Mr & Mrs Buller. Comment, share & enjoy!
It was time for Scarlett to come for her 2nd Cherubs’ visit and it was great fun! We started with a lovely pink set-up and Scarlett was in good form. After a change of outfit we moved to another set using a vintage suitcase. Lastly we came to the basket. All in all a great session. Scarlett’s Mummy & Daddy will get to choose their favourite image for the folio they will receive at the end of Scarlett’s three sessions over her first year. Here’s a sneak peek of my favourites. If you would like a Cherubs package for your little one, please get in touch now! Comment, share & enjoy!
It’s great to get families into the studio (including pets, because they’re part of the family too!) and I do try and give some advice before you come about how to prepare. There are not many people (including myself) who can say they like having the picture taken, so to put you in an unfamiliar environment with a complete stranger and ask you to relax is not going to work on its own!
Once you’ve booked your session, if it involves small children, make sure you bring extra snacks or drinks along to keep their tummies happy. Also toys and things to do to occupy them. It’s not all sitting and smiling and sometimes they may need a little entertainment. If we are taking even smaller people, babies need lots of cuddles and patience along with extra feeds if necessary. I do not put a time limit on my sessions so if we need to take a break for whatever reason, that’s fine.
Clothing-wise, if you are having some group shots together, it’s nice to have complimentary outfits. So nothing that will stand out from everyone else, contrasting colours or tones work lovely. But always bring a change of outfit if you’re looking for a fun-filled energetic part for the kids. Bright coloured clothes and toys are great for this!
Last of all, it’s meant to be a fun-filled and happy session, don’t get worried about it. The best pictures are taken when you’re feeling your best, so if anyone is a little under the weather, it is not a problem to re-schedule your appointment. I guarantee you will have fun and enjoy having your picture taken so why not book yours now!
Max came to see me with Mum and Dad at the studio yesterday afternoon and he was an absolute joy! We even got Mum and Dad in on the act but here are a few sneak peek images for you to see. Black and white or colour – what’s your preference? Comment, share & enjoy!
